Morgan has a fairly distinctive writing style (his fantasy trilogy is obviously a very different setting but it's very much the same style as the Takeshi Kovacs trilogy in a lot of ways, particularly when describing fight/action scenes) and although I like it, it can get a bit annoying at times. ![]() It's probably worth checking out the other two books but it depends why you preferred the TV show. I think I read that Morgan wanted each book to be a different genre so don't expect a hardboiled detective noir in the second or third book. #īooks 2 & 3 are completely different to Book 1.
